Reliable infrastructure begins with the right materials. In Chamwino District, road construction projects were facing recurring setbacks due to poor-quality sand from traditional suppliers. This resulted in weak compaction, surface cracking, and drainage failures shortly after project completion.
DWASAL addressed this challenge by supplying over 3,000m³ of clean, uniformly graded washed sand, specifically suited for culvert backfilling and road base layers. The improved material quality ensured proper compaction and structural integrity, enabling the project to meet Tanzania Roads Agency (TANROADS) standards.
